A Rainy Weekend

YAY!!! A rainy weekend and I am SO excited. I love rain storms and we don't get very many here in AZ so when the gray clouds roll in, I do a happy dance!! The cooler weather also gives me an excuse to bake cookies with the kids and make some chili! Yummy!

Gotta love Keira's hair. She has fine hair like me and whenever she is playing in the castle her hair does this!!!

Tyler built a dragon using the castle as the body, pie plate mask for the head and all of the other playroom toys and baskets as the tail. Pretty inventive!

Keira has been dying to wear this dress since her friend Abby gave it to her this week. Keira calls it her "Abby Dress." But because it is so pretty I said she could wear it for church. So, for days she has told me she gets to wear it but only for church. Well...today when I said we were getting ready for church, Keira ran into her closet and got her dress down. When I got to her room she had the biggest smile on her face and said "I get to wear Abby Dress!" Before I rushed the kids out the door I took this picture because they said I could (normally one isn't up for a photo) and they were dressed to impress! Such cuties!!!

Ahoy, Matey!

Anyone who knows Tyler knows he has an amazing imagination! Yesterday at school Tyler made a treasure map and was very excited to tell Keira all about the treasure and the dangers to look out for when looking for the X. This morning he woke up wanting to make another treasure map and go on a treasure hunt with Keira. Anyone who knows Keira knows she always wants to play with Tyler and goes along with pretty much everything! After making the map, Tyler found a treasure chest, filled the chest with "booty," hid the chest for Keira to find. Keira got distracted along the way but Tyler showed her where the X was and she was very excited!

The Dudley's have a blog!

Yes! I know it is hard to believe, but I have finally created a blog!!! No, I am not on Facebook or Twitter (sorry) but I have thought about creating a blog for a couple of years, just never made the time to do it. However, I stay connected to many friends and family through their blogs and know it is a great way to let everyone know what we are up to! I will do my best to keep it updated!!!




Tyler lost another tooth this week! It is his 3rd! I guess that is what happens when you get your baby teeth in at 4 months! Tyler's teacher, Ms Chasteen, gave him a little blue treasure chest he used to put the tooth in under his pillow. He was pretty excited to see his money and the chest under his pillow! I guess he thought the tooth fairy was going to take the chest!


Tyler also had his first karate/self-defense class Tuesday night. They didn't get to do much karate since it was also registration and orientation but I think he will like the class. The class meets once a week for 45 minutes so just long enough to teach something but short enough that he isn't wanting to go home half way through!

On Wednesdays Keira and I go to a Mommy & Me art class through the Town of Gilbert. Not sure how much "mommy" but "me" it is since Keira wants to do everything her self (there is a surprise!) but she is having fun and not having to clean up works for me!

Keira is also on her way to be fully potty trained! YAY!!! She wears big girl undies at home and when we have short trips/errands. I still put her in a pull-up at the gym (since they don't really do "potty training") and a diaper at night. She has been dry for over a week so I am excited!
