Fall sports have begun

Tyler decided to play flag football with his friends Joey and Grant.  Brian is assistant coach.

Keira is a cheerleader and will cheer for the 3rd/4th grade teams. She only cheers for ty's team twice so that's a bummer.

Our fire pit

We finally got our fire pit!! This is one of the most popular items the inmates make. It says "The Dudley Family The Great Kansas Adventure of 2014." We get together almost every weekend with our neighbor's for smores. Gonna miss that.

Keira's new bike

The post (Ft. Leavenworth as a whole) had a yard sale last weekend and we sold Keira's "little bike."  She was very concerned we would not replace it but we found a new one the same day. This one has hand brakes!!!

Holy Field Winery

The first piece of mail we received at our house was a newsletter from Holy-Field Winery. They offer several events in the summer and fall, the most exciting one for me was picking the grapes as a harvester. Due to the popularity of the event, we were added to the waiting list but a party cancelled so we were able to go today! It was so much fun and the kids loved it. Tyler ate as many grapes as he put in the buckets. Ty and Keira ran the full buckets back to the truck so many times the workers knew their names at the end of picking. They fed us a great lunch and we were able to see the cellar where they make the wine!

Cider Hill Orchard

There is a beautiful apple orchard about 30 minutes from us. They have many acres of different kinds of apples. They sell apple donuts, cider, butter, pies and more. The kids loved picking apples and tasking the donuts. We bought two apples pies to take home!

9/11

Bradley has an annual tradition to remember 9/11 with a Freedom Walk. Due to our recent rain storms the walk was cancelled. They had a virtual walk in the gym this afternoon with songs and speeches. This is the mural on the gym's wall.

Pokemon Cards

Tyler is relatively new at collecting Pokémon cards and rotates his interest for them. However, our two neighbors' sons (Joey and Brison) love the cards and they spent the football game trading them and talking about why they liked certain ones. It was nice to see Minecraft off for a bit!

Cowboys Vs. 49ers....

A house divided and as a Cowboys fan, it was hard to watch. Luckily we had a Solider and his wife and kids over for the game. As the boys cheered for the Niners...I played with a 2 year old down stairs. Holding an 11 week baby helped my pain too!!!

Go, Team, Go!

Keira is SO excited to finally be a cheerleader! Her first practice was yesterday and this girl had the cheer down the first time. There are two other girls from her class at school so that made it even more fun! Her cheer group will cheer for the 3rd/4th grade flag football teams on Wednesdays later this month. Tyler is on one of those teams!
