Park time

There are a lot of different parks on post. This one is next to our house and the kid's school. 

 

You can see the kid's school behind the play structures.

 This is the back side of our house (standing at the park). We live in a duplex so our neighbors are closest to the street. We live on the right side at this angle.

Tyler was swinging so high he could touch a tree branch with his foot. He thought it was cool. 

Kansas!!

We have arrived in Kansas!! It is really green with rolling hills and lots of trains! Ft. Leavenworth is very pretty and everyone is really nice. The kids and pets traveled really well and all are very excited to be out of the car!!

 

 

We explored Kansas City over the weekend. They have a nice outdoor mall. Still getting use to the weather. Phoenix is so hot but here it is in the 80's with days in the 70's! Brian loves it! I am going to freeze come the fall!!!

 Not the best picture of our house so I will take another one when we move in. We are still in the hotel on base until they can clean and fix anything in the house from the previous family. Our house is a duplex with a pretty good size garage (not shown).

This is the kid's school. Bradley Elementary. We can see the school from our backyard so walking them to and from school every day will be amazing!!!

Memorial Day weekend is normally the first weekend the kids get in the pool!

End of School Activities

I can't believe school is already over! This year flew by! Keira loved school and is very excited for first grade. Tyler had a harder year but he pulled through and did very well!

Happy Easter!

We had a very busy & fun Easter weekend with egg hunts, family and church!

The kids really enjoyed decorating eggs this year.

Gunner & Katie helped "find" the eggs.

 My dad was in town over Easter which was great!

 

 

I think the kid's favorite part of Easter is going over to Aunt Sherri's house for her amazing egg hunt! She had 100 plastic eggs filled with goodies ready for the kids this year!!! 



Keira turns 6!!

Keira wants to be a "horse rider," as she puts it, when she grows up! So, for her birthday we bought her a 1 hour private horseback riding lesson! Not only did she LOVE it but the second she got off she asked me when she could go again. Made me want to buy a horse!!

 Since my kids aren't big cake/cupcake eaters, we made brownies to celebrate her birthday!

 SIX YEARS OLD!!!

 Keira was so excited to invite friends from her kindergarten class to her party this year. We had it at the gymnastics center they attend Tumbling & Trampoline classes on Tuesdays. Tyler, of course, invited some friends from school too!!

Camping

For spring break we got away for a couple of days and went camping at Apache Lake. It was a really pretty lake and we had perfect weather!!

 

 The kids slept in their own tent for the first time! They did really well even with the coyotes coming down and around our campsite! I think they only kept me up!!

 The kids and I went on a boat ride with daddy the first day we were there.

 and so did mommy! No Luck!

 The campsite had a payphone and the kids were so interested in it. They didn't understand why someone would want/need to use one! How times have changed!
