We didn't win but the game went well. Brian has worked hard coaching the line while Ty is learning the game. The teams are made up of 6th-8th graders. The 6th graders didn't play during the regular game but played against each other in the "5th" quarter. Different idea but some of the 8th graders are big! The program's focus for 6th graders is to learn the game and get exposed to playing. Looking forward to cooler weather for our Saturday games :)

First week of school
We started a new school on Wednesday! The kids were excited but nervous. They are making new friends, getting to know their teachers, and learning what Gilbert Christian Schools is all about.
I am also at the school as a kindergarten teacher apprentice. I start in the afternoon when another a morning teacher goes home. This schedule gives me time to do homework before I go in. It has been very nice!
Here's to a great school year!!

Down comes our tree
The last big monsoon storm hit our area hard! It took down our big tree in the front yard! After borrowing my aunt & uncle's cutter and chainsaw, Brian was able to cut it down. So sad.
First day of school!
Higley school district changed to a modified year round school year this year. Starting early, July 27th, we do get 2 week fall, winter, and spring breaks! Tyler started 5th grade & Keira started 2nd grade!

Pictures of home
We are slowly unpacking and settling into our house. We have enjoyed catching up with some friends (more fun to be planned), swimming and putting rooms together.

Home!
We made it home! Our year in Kansas was good. We were able to see a different part of the country, make amazing friends and grow closer as a family. While it doesn't feel like we have been gone for a year, the new stores, changes at church and boxes filling our house make us realize the time. We have one month to get this house together before school starts. Yikes!
